With the technology used in auto manufacturing is it true you can go over 3000 miles between oil changes?

I know you should keep the level up but really its been 3000 for ever and cars are going 300000 miles now all the time. I know with synthetics they say 5000 but I mean conventional oilWith the technology used in auto manufacturing is it true you can go over 3000 miles between oil changes?
To be safest, you should change the oil as the manufacturer of the vehicle recommends. There are some brands of oil that claim if you use their oil you can extend your oil change interval. Read what they have to say and decide if you agree and are willing to risk it. Changing the oil is the single most important maintenance thing you can do for your engine. With the technology used in auto manufacturing is it true you can go over 3000 miles between oil changes?
alot of cars now a days have the oil life indicator. which is a very complex thing it has a algorithm which monitors engine run time city and highway miles driven it is very complex however i would not call it 100% accurate I usually recommend changing when it hits 20% which is about 5000 miles but in all honesty personal opinion is synthetic its cleaner and you can go 5000 to 6000 miles without an oil change but also with your question it does not matter how good the oil is if the oil filter quits doing its job most filters are not designed for high mileage situation as high as 7500.
It is true yes. Some cars are being made to go longer. Using a K%26amp;N oil filter will also allow you to go longer. If you pay someone else to change your oil, around 3500-4000 miles between is okay. I suggest changing it yourself and doing it every 3000 miles. If you have over 75K miles, go with a high mileage oil.
Nissan recommends 3750 for my car; I run pretty close to that with your standard dino juice.
