If you believe scientists when they say we only use a small percentage of our brains, could it be true that...

we really DO see things only at ';surface value';?If you believe scientists when they say we only use a small percentage of our brains, could it be true that...
Not true that we use only a small portion of our brains. Thats a common myth that keeps perpetuating. Check livescience.com for more info...If you believe scientists when they say we only use a small percentage of our brains, could it be true that...
give us more info, or your source or sumting...
i have no idea
That is the prevailing theory. But, ask yourself why some of us using the same 1/3 capacity have higher/lower IQ results?
Its very true that we dont use the full potential our brain endures. For example, sorry if your not a believer in god but, in the age of Adam and Eve we used 100% of our brain. Adam named the animals, plants and stars. Doing this is harder than it seems, especially to create a language and make it universal for others to follow.. We use our brains for basic motor skills and VERY basic thinking.. But our intellegince is steadily declining due to video games and TV.. and a sort of de-evolution.. And archeologists continue to uncover evidence of anciant techonology that surpasses our own.. Very decreitly however.. And in the bibly again, it talks of angels coming down to Earth and impregnating mortal women, creating ';super'; humans.. Crossing mortalitiy with the divine would create such a master race.. but aside from Noah and his family, all were wiped out by the flood.. We only use a small percentage of our brains, I believe because god relents to give us our once true power.. If we had harnessed and control that power toaday, we would almost certainly destroy oursleves..
Only surface value? Hmm... maybe. Maybe if we used more the metaphysical stuff would kick in somehow. I ponder this too.
Of course that is true!
I think we see what we want to see. Other parts of our brains can be utilised if we try a range of activities. Brains need exercise too. It's been proven that doing puzzles etc can help the elderly keep their brains active.
The idea that we only use 13% of our brains is an urban myth. We actually use almost all of our brains, with different parts being active at different times.
scientists don't say we only use a small percentage of our brains.we use 100% of our brains and scientists know that.
Yes, I believe that. That's why we should respect a religion that addresses the essence of us and asks us to BELIEVE with our heart rather than just believe with our senses.

Life is more than that of which we see or think that we see.

We are nothing but a small atom in a world that our brain can't realize, and this world is growing as we speak !
duhhh its true. we don't use certain parts of our brain from childhood and we eventually loose capability of using those parts. For all we know, we could levetate things and move them. you never know. Maybe some parts release some kind of supernatural energy that would be normal to us if we used those parts of our brain.
Yes it is absolutely true and I have proof. Bush is president.
sure
I don't know but I do know that when our eyes see something it dosen't register in our brains for a few seconds. So, we literally see everything in the past tense.
I believe it. Not so much that we're walking around like retarded humans who don't use all their brains at the same time, but more like humans who never use a certain function of the brain.

I feel this way becuase we have so many different living things on this planet that can do so many other amazing things. There are flys that can see infrared, dolphins that communicate with sonar, and all that other stuff.

Did you know, that humans used to be born with the memories of their parents? Could you imagine being born and remembering (as if you did it) something that your mother or father had done? Talk about learning from others' mistakes!
Not really. There are many things that do not need more that 1% of our brain to understand. Other things will need a 100% educated and well trained brain to understand. That's why we can only guess the answer to a question like ';What is the meaning of life?';
100% bs
It has been pretty well established; the usual human uses 1200 words or less in his vocabulary.. the potential is at least 10,000 words. This is just at the conscious level... there are many other aspects of the mind, as indicated by the different wave lengths found there. Someone would have to concentrate at each level to be functionally using all of their brian.. and that represents just the levels we know of presently.

Very few people spend much time discussing other that surface level subjects.
Probably. We dont really see the depths of things, we just see them at.. well.. ';surface value';.
I believe it. Just look at the answers on Yahoo.
