That is an old Urban Hoax that I am so sick of seeing, I wish it would die down already.
Ignore it, Yahoo makes too much money from sponsored ads to charge viewers for basic services like searchs and webmail, they are not going to loose their base of viewers by charging for these services.
I think that it is a spoofed email. DO NOT obey it. Do not send it to your friends and do not pay any money.





Did it have an attachment? Did you open it by chance? Do not open any attachments either.





Spoofing means to imposture. Somebody is imposturing yahoo.





I think yahoo provides an address to send reports of spoofed emails. It usually appears as a tip, as soon as you log into your mail.





If you did happen to open the attachment if there was any, then run antivirus and antispyware softwares on your computer. Something like Norton Antivirus and Spybot Search and Destroy.
