I was told that Firefighters use this terminology, is it true?

Whenever we have to pick up retards, invalids, brain-dead, or whatever... we have a terminology system we use.





A retard/invalid = a LIZARD





There can be several types of lizards


';O'; Lizard - imagine making an O with your mouth


';Q'; Lizard - imagine making a O with your mouth with your tongue hanging out the side


';Q'; Lizard with a DOT - same thing as a ';Q'; lizard except there is a fly on his/her tongue

Bob1: Yeah, we gotta pick up a lizard


Dave1: Is it a ';Q'; or an ';O';?


Bob1: Q lizard with a DOT


Dave1: God damn.I was told that Firefighters use this terminology, is it true?
I'm not going to try and justify this with an answer.





If you work in the field, you know that there are a lot of little acronyms and sayings that get used to try and add humor to what is a completely un-funny profession. We don't insult people, we don't talk about them in front of others, but yes, we do make extremely sick and distasteful jokes to try and deal with the emotional strain and stress of meeting people at the worst possible times of their lives.





If you don't work in the field, you'll never understand. But you should be thankful that we find ways to deal with our work, or no one would come when you dial 911.I was told that Firefighters use this terminology, is it true?
